[Two Autograph Letters, Signed]. Two letters to an admirer of his, the earliest and briefest written in haste in reply to the recipient's letter, which had been forwarded to him from the offices of New Masses while he was on vacation. The second responds more fully, and is written from the New Masses office offering to send a signed copy of Comrade Mister, published by the Equinox Cooperative Press, at the author's net cost, as well a a trial subscription to New Masses, and commenting: "A writer has so little chance of knowing that his work makes and impression that a letter like yours is always cheering...I hope you are interested in the radical movement... the rdaical movement is the only place where one can find living culture today. I think if you would look up the people in the radical movement in Scranton you would find them the livest in the community.
