Blind Love. First edition of Collins's last major work, inspired by a notorious criminal case told to him over lunch. Only two thirds of the novel was written when Collins requested Walter Besant finish it for him, as fellow "old hands at the work" (p. iv). The novel was published posthumously a year later.
