A good association copy of what many consider Lowell's most significant collection, with the contemporary ownership signature of Caroline Gordon (as "Caroline Tate") on the front endsheet. Lowell's friendship with Gordon and her husband Allen Tate was, of course, a critical element in his career as a poet, dating from their first meeting in 1937.
