POEMS. First edition of the first solo book by Holmes, preceded by several collective appearances and some ephemeral items. The copy in hand is in the form without New York in the imprint. The edition is reported to have consisted of one thousand copies. In the upper margin of the title, there is a very faint mirror of the inscription (sufficient to justify forensics) which was clipped away from the top margin of the half-title.
