The anthology was gathered from a variety of sources, from the ancient, to the medieval and modern. 4to (220 x180mm); frontispiece, title, some in line illustrations and other plates in aurotype by Osman Pittman and John Noble Barlow, gift inscription to ffep; quarter bound in vellum, green cloth boards, florid scrolls in gilt to spine, gilt title contained within caption, gilt top-edge, very good.
