As I ve mentioned before, we re planning on a fairly big move this summer (family and business) and part of the prep work includes reducing the number of duplicate editions I have and it turns out that I have a lot of duplicates! Not my own contributor copies this time, but books I received as comp copies, copies sent in lieu of payment, from trades with other publishers, etc. My wife also designed a few hundred books along the way and often received copies. Some of these editions go back to the 1980s thanks to a massive trade with a small New England press years ago when I was at Cemetery Dance. Speaking of which, there s a lot of Cemetery Dance, of course, including some extremely sought after early books, but there are also many other small presses represented. Several of the New York publishers, too, for sure. Lots of Limited Editions (real numbers and PCs), tons of review copies, and some interesting (to me) trade editions. (I have an unfortunate habit of re-buying books by certain authors because the new cover artwork is cool. Sigh.)
