Goldfinger. First edition, first impression, of the seventh James Bond book, adapted into the third film of the franchise in 1964 starring Sean Connery. Fleming named the villain during a game of golf, while discussing how he detested the designs of the modernist architect Ernő Goldfinger. When Goldfinger threatened to sue, Fleming mischievously suggested adding an erratum slip changing the character's name to "Goldprick". The two men settled out of court; Goldfinger's payout from Cape included six copies of the novel.
