Landscape [and] Silence. Typescript, signed by the author on the title page of "Landscape". These two short plays were first staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company on 2 July 1969. "Landscape" had previously been broadcast on radio on 25 April 1968. Both were published, together with "Night", as Landscape and Silence in 1969. There are minor textual differences between this script and the published volume.This copy, numbered "#18" on the first sheet, appears to be for a U.S. production. The volume comprises a title-page for "Landscape", a listing of cast and setting on one leaf, a note, 14 pages of script, one dividing leaf, a title-page for "Silence", a listing of cast and setting on one leaf, and 14 pages of script.
