New York: Studio Duplicating Service, Inc., 1964. An early version of James Goldman's successful historical play The Lion in Winter. Set in 12th century medieval England, the play chronicles the tumultuous family life of Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine. It served as the basis for the Academy Award-winning film by the same name starring Peter O'Toole, Katherine Hepburn and a boyishly young Anthony Hopkins.
