[An Album of Plates from:] COSTUME OF THE LOWER ORDERS OF LONDON. A compilation of 18 of the handcolored etchings in this series, plus the etched pictorial title, bound up without the letterpress. According to the sequence in Tooley (the ordering in copies is somewhat arbitrary), this copy wants plates 6 (Dreymen); 15 (Apple Boy); 17 (Mayday); 20 (Dustman); and 24 (Pieman). The present example of the Fortune Teller plate bears the imprint (a sign of a corrected state), but the Mat Man plate is spelled "Matt Man."
