First public edition of a chapter intended for the revised 1943 edition of AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY, but not included therein and distributed in this form by Taliesin. There was another quite uncommon printing, featuring differences in text and typographic arrangement, denoted a "Revised Printer's Proof," dated "Spring 1944." The defiance of normal sequence in the assignment of dates is not addressed by the bibliography.
