Item #225326 A fine, large, characteristic Rowlandson watercolor showing a well-dressed man receiving a drink from a rotund publican whose eye is caught by an attractive young lady in a carriage at the rear; two dogs in the foreground. The women appears oblivious to the two men, but whether this is actually so is typical of Rowlandson's frequent ambiguity, and...who knows?
