Vintage 1880s The Works Of Hubert Howe Bancroft 39-Vol Leather History Set West Set is in great condition overall. Uniform tan leather bindings show only mild fraying. Black spine title labels have light surface rubbing and a few small nicks to the gilt borders, but the titles and volume numbers remain clear and easy to read. Marbled text block edges and endpapers show light dust darkening and scattered age-related spotting. Interior pages are lightly toned with age, but are generally clean and unmarked, with only occasional small stains or creases. Bindings are sound and secure, with no detached text blocks noted in the sampled volumes. Includes 39 matching volumes, numbered 1 through 39, exactly as shown. No dust jackets are present.
