A very good copy, spine creased and toned, foxing to edges, otherwise wrappers still sharp and contents clean. A scarce, uncorrected proof copy of the first edition. The most significant difference between the proof and the first UK edition can be seen on the half-title, and also the illustrated title page, where the title and the 003½ motif
