ANON. Bedford Hotel, Beaulieu Sur-Mer. Original hotel luggage label, c.1921. 110 x 145 mm. In the late nineteenth and early 20th Century Beaulieu became a popular destination for the international elite in the Winter season. The hotel opened in 1904 under the name of the Panorama Palace. In 1914 the hotel was requisitioned to serve as a school for war orphans. In 1921 the hotel was renamed Bedford Hotel by its new owners. Today the hotel is known as the Royal Riviera.
