ANON. Grand Hotel de La Poste, Nice. Original hotel luggage label, c.1925. 100 x 135 mm. Nice had attracted wealthy visitors during the Winter months, particularly from the U.K. However in the mid 1920's the French tourist bureau along with Government initiatives started to promote Summer holidays. This promotion was very evident at the Paris art deco exhibition in 1925. In the tourism pavillion huge posters and literature were displayed promoting the Summer time.
