A very rare epehemeron issued by a now ancient French Society for the protection of animals, Grammont’s Law punished public abusers of domestic animals with fines of between five to fifteen francs and/or from one to five days in prison. Very rare, one copy only on OCLC at the BNF, cited in *Le Musée d’Histoire de la Justice’*s only Bibliographie de l’histoire de la justice francaise. Provenance: the dog section of The LSD Library , Julio Mario Santo Domingo has inscribed “Louis’s books” near the top edge of the cover. Louis Santo Domingo was his dog, after which his library was named.
