New York: November 9, 1853. Printed receipt accomplished in manuscript, approx. 3½ x 8¼ , acknowledging a payment of 125 from James S. Aspinwall, Esq., treasurer of the Foreign Committee of the Board of Missions of the P. E. Church in the U.S. for rent of premises in the Bible House. Signed in ink by Henry Fiske. While not specifically book related, a printed note at the bottom suggests this receipt was also used to verify payments for books.
