Waugh was received into the Roman Catholic Church in September 1930, following guidance from D'Arcy, whose combination of theology and philosophy helped shape the conviction behind Waugh's later Catholic writing.Helena, Waugh's account of the mother of Constantine and her search for the True Cross, was the novel he described as his favourite among his own works. This is one of approximately 50 copies of the large paper issue, specially bound and printed on handmade paper.
