[USA : s.n., 1850-55]. Sixth-plate daguerreotype with applied colour, 68 x 57 mm (sight), in a nonpareil brass mat, housed in a leather case with embossed floral design, with a working brass clasp; the daguerreotype has a tarnish halo at left and lower edges, but is otherwise in fine condition; the case has only light wear but is starting to separate along the hinge.
