Downer (1863 1938), of the South Australian Downer political family, brother of John Downer, former Premier of South Australia, uncle of Sir Alexander Russell Alick Downer, Minister for Immigration under Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies, great-uncle of Alexander Downer, Minister for Foreign Affairs under Prime Minister John Howard, and great-great-uncle of Georgina Menzies, Chief Executive Officer of the Robert Menzies Institute.
