Volume XXVII. First edition. Copy 1549 of a limited edition. Andrew Graham was a Scottish naturalist. He emigrated to Canada and worked for the Hudson's Bay Company from 1749 to 1775. While he was working for the Company, he recorded his observations, which he sent to London along with a considerable number of specimens; unfortunately, much of his work was plagiarized by others and his true contribution was not discovered until the Company's archives were opened in the late 20th century. Graham was assisted at times by fur trader and company surgeon Thomas Hutchins, who also worked on meteorological problems. Condition: Jacket spine lightly sunned else near fine in like jacket.
