The first book by Australian literary figure Max Harris, and the first book cover illustrated by Sidney Nolan. A wartime publication scarce in good condition, published in an edition of 1500 copies (COWLEY, Des, A checklist of Reed Harris Publications , in The La Trobe Journal No 64, Spring 1999, p. 48).
