The Night born a short story was first published in Everybody's Magazine , July, 1911. Also included in the collection of short stories previously published in magazine form is "The Madness of John Harned" (1909); "When the World Was Young" (1910); "The Benefit of the Doubt" (1910); "Winged Blackmail" (1910); "Bunches of Knuckles" (1910); "War" (1911); "Under the Deck Awnings" (1910); and "To Kill a Man" (1910). Condition: Soiling to covers, rubbing mainly to extremities, spine dulled, corners bumped, book plate on front paste down. Over all about a very good copy lacking dust jacket.
