Fernando Gianoli Galletti (1868–1910), an Italian bass, is shown as Prince Yamadori in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. This photograph relates to the famous 1904 Brescia premiere of the revised second version of the opera, which achieved great success following the disastrous earlier debut at La Scala in Milan. This signed photo postcard is 3.25 x 5.25 inches and is inscribed with a personal sentiment, dated in Milan in 1904.
