Documentation related to the famous operatic disturbance in London, 1840, when the popular Tamburini was omitted of the performing cast at the Haymarked Theater, making people erupting in protest. Original re-engaging contract after the riot signed by Tamburini in the last page; plus an autograph letter signed by Count d'Orsay with an account of the riot addressed to Laporte (director of the theatre), and a 3-page autograph letter addressed to Laporte from Louise Viardot about the riot.
