Gelatin silver print photograph with hand colouring, 140 x 80 mm, on the original studio mount of green board; verso with contemporary caption in pencil: Leila Pyers ; the print and mount are in excellent condition. There are many newspaper notices that mention the achievements of Leila Pyers of Lismore in local and regional Highland dancing competitions between 1920 and 1925. From around 1925 Leila was a professional teacher of Highland dancing in Lismore.
