The Gulag Archipelago, Volumes 1 & 2 Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn — Harper & Row Hardcovers Both are Book Club Editions (no jacket prices; square blank stamps on rear). Copyrights: 1974 (Vol. 1) and 1975 (Vol. 2) Volume 1 Condition: Approximately 27 pages in the first two chapters have underlining/notes in pen; the rest of the text is clean. Age‑tanning throughout. Spine shows weakening from use, but the binding remains secure. Foxing on front/rear endpapers and on the outer page edges. Lower corners of the first several pages have crease marks. Dust jacket shows foxing, creases, scuffs, smudges, indentations, and edge/corner wear with small tears and chipping (some tears mended from the underside). Volume 2 Condition: Name label on the inside front cover. All pages clean and unmarked, with age‑tanning. Binding is sound. Light foxing on endpapers; more noticeable foxing on outer page edges. Dust jacket shows foxing, creases, scuffs, smudges, indentations, and edge/corner wear with small tears and chipping (some mended from the underside). Photos show the exact books you will receive.
