The first Port Phillip Directory. Ferguson A Notice in The Sydney Monitor and Commercial Advertiser and similar colonial papers for 15th April 1839 declares the Directory is published this day at the price of 5s. 3d. The utility of a DIRECTORY is so well known, that it is unnecessary for the Publisher to make any comments in offering the NEW DIRECTORY to the public; but can say, (which is the best recommendation for. a Work of the kind), that it may be depended upon for correctness . A facsimile was published in 2000, in which the editor asserts that only five copies are known to have survived. Ferguson 2816
