240 x 188 mm. Signed with initials in the stone. Dated January 9, 1833 in pencil. Traviès de Villers 1804-1859 was a contemporary and colleague of Daumier. This caricature was originally published in Le Charivari, an illustrated magazine published in Paris from 1832 to 1937 specializing in political cartoons, reviews, and satires.
