Albumen print photograph, carte de visite format, 64 x 100 mm (mount); no photographer s imprint; verso with fully contemporary inscription in ink: Indian boys, Demerara , and in pencil: S.A. (i.e. South America ); although it is a copy-print made at the time, the print has plenty of detail and is in good condition; the early square-cornered mount has a spot of foxing at one corner recto , but is otherwise clean and stable.
