In 2004 Sotheby s auctioned the contents of PHARMACY, the uber chic high end cocktail bar created by Damien Hirst and Matthew Freud which operated from 1997 2003 in London. The entire auction sold for record prices (over 11 million pounds), cementing the relationship between Hirst and Sotheby s, which would culminate in his mammoth single artist auction Beautiful inside my head forever in 2008 (selling over a hundred million pounds).
