Austrian conductor and violinist (1902-1974), who was a pupil of Felix Weingartner and became the first conductor to lead the Vienna Philharmonic and the Salzburg Festival in the post-war period. Black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment dated in Vienna, 1947; blind-stamped on the front by photographer Fayer (Vienna). Size is 3.3 x 5.4 inches, in excellent condition.
