An obscure New Zealand zine devoted primarily to reviews of classic and current movies in the horror / slasher / giallo / splatter, sci-fi, and sleaze / sexploitation genres. It also contains book and record reviews. The zine had an international fanbase, and correspondence is included from subscribers in the USA, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Austria. The cover of issue no. 4 features Linda Blair, winner of the fanzine s Sleaze Poll . This was the last of only four issues of Violent Leisure , prior to it merging with Crimson Celluloid (Sydney, Australia). No copies of any issue located in OCLC, on Trove or in the National Library of New Zealand.
