Microscope slide, 76 x 26 mm, maker s manuscript label to mount; sealed underneath the circular glass (diameter 13 mm) at the centre of the mount is a quantity of specimens of gold dust (unspecified nett weight); the glass has a hairline crack but the slide is otherwise in very good condition. A scarce scientific curio relating to the Australian gold rushes.
