Octavo (215 x 140 mm), original wrappers printed in blue (upper wrapper with 1930s ownership signature of Dora Toovey, Society member, and her annotation original RAS , both in blue fountain pen; light creasing), staple bound; pp [8], 24; the title page is further inscribed by Toovey Dora Toovey, FRAS, rep. portraits in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane other galleries , and there are several marginal annotations by her, in the same pen, clarifying details in the text, as well as some underlining in red pencil; one leaf with small torn section at top edge, pages 7-10 loosened from the staples (but present), otherwise clean and sound; loosely inserted is a folded roneo-printed sheet which duplicates page 2 of the text, together with a folded small quarto sheet with Dora Toovey s transcription (in pencil) of the License to change the name from the Art Society of New South Wales to Royal Art Society of New South Wales, dated June 3rd 1904, with her note in pen that her copy was made from the original in the Registrar-General s Office, Sydney. An interesting association copy of the Royal Art Society of New South Wales Memorandum and Articles of Association and bye-laws (revised August, 1904) , of which Trove locates only two examples (SLNSW; AGNSW Research Library).
