This grammar of the language of the Ngarrindjeri people of the region around Lakes Alexandrina, Albert and Coorong was first separately issued in 1878; it was then reprinted in 1879 as an addendum to Taplin s Folklore, Manners, Customs ; and following Taplin s death, it was printed again in 1880 with different title page (referring to the author as the late Rev. G. Taplin ) and printing details (Spiller, rather than Cox).
