Two albumen print photographs, carte de visite format, 105 x 64 mm (mount); versos with the highly decorative back mark of J. W. Lindt, Photographer, 7 Collins Street East, Melbourne. Prize Medallist Philadelphia, Paris, Sydney, Brisbane, Sandhurst, Melbourne, Christchurch, Amsterdam ; both in fine condition. The carte can be dated to around 1885 based on the fact that the Calcutta International Exhibition (the latest of the exhibitions mentioned in Lindt s backmark) was held from December 1883 to March 1884.
