American composer (1884-1958), who was also a painter and writer. Strickland published almost 400 works, mostly songs. Black-and-white photograph signed by her with a short sentiment dated 1943; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Mayfair (New York). Size is 8 x 9.8 inches, evident crease at its center, otherwise in very good condition.
