Customs Service: Officers in Charge, 1921-35 (Including Officers in Charge of Native Customs Establishments, 1901-31). First edition of this extensive reference, compiled on the orders of Frederick Maze, the inspector-general, using archives housed in different offices of the customs service. Though unmarked as such, this copy was formerly owned by Lester Knox Little (1892-1981), the service's last inspector-general, and was acquired by a private collector from his family in 1999.Lists were submitted to the statistical department by senior personnel in each location. Tables give Western and Chinese names, current titles, dates of appointment, and the Chinese colleagues with whom each officer worked.
