St. Caecilia is seated at an organ with an open music book above the keyboard; two cherubs sing from a music book to her right. The model for the painting was the singer/actress Mrs. Richard Brinsley Sheridan née Elizabeth Ann Linley 1754-1792 , daughter of the composer and conductor Thomas Linley 1733-1795 . 370 x 280 mm.
