This is the new and revised edition.First published in 1861, Beeton's Book of Household Management sold 60,000 copies in its debut year, and two million had been sold by 1868. Despite its author's death four years after publication, the book has been constantly updated and its popularity has lived on to the present day. As well as comprising over 900 pages of recipes, illustrated, for the first time in this genre of book production, with colour plates, Beeton's boldly comprehensive text also contains guidance on home economics and general home life. It was serialized in 24 monthly parts between 1859 and 1861.
