Square octavo, green cloth boards with pictorial paper onlay to front featuring a linocut by the poet; 43 pp, illustrated with a further 6 tipped-in linocuts by Macartney; lightly marked, a very good copy. Presentation inscription to a previous owner pasted on a small card on the endpaper. These verses about the North [of Australia] were written while the author lived there from the beginning of 1921 till the end of 1932. Most of them appeared originally in the Sydney Bulletin and are here published by permission of the proprietors of that journal. (t.p. verso)
