Italian tenor (1840-1897) who enjoyed a successful career in opera during the second half of the XIX century; creator of the role of Turiddu in Mascagni's opera Cavalleria Rusticana . Fine original cabinet photo of him by photographer Montabone (Milan) signed and inscribed by Stagno with a short sentiment dated in Madrid, 1891. Size is 5 x 7.25 inches, minor damage in all four corners, otherwise in very good condition.
