Half-length. Within oval textual border. 147 x 95 mm. Slightly trimmed, not affecting text or image. A German hymnodist, Fritsch authored a collection of sacred songs published in 1679 in Jena RISM BVIII/1, 1679/02 . Bach used his hymns as sources for Cantatas 57, 123, 398, 399 and 485.
