Legendary Austrian dramatic soprano (1926-1998) celebrated for many decades in the operas of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss as well for major Italian roles. Attractive black-and-white photograph signed by her, shown in role, most likely next to Jon Vickers in a production of Verdi's Otello; ink-stamped on verso by Nancy Sorensen, Lyric Opera of Chicago. Size is 8 x 10 inches , in excellent condition.
