Canadian bass-baritone (1920-1985), one of the leading artists in Italian, German, French, and Russian repertoire in the 1950s and early 1960s. Fine black-and-white photograph signed and inscribed by him with a short sentiment, depicted as Vitellio Scarpia in Puccini's opera Tosca ; ink-stamped on verso by photographer Sedge LeBlang (New York). Size is 7.8 x 9.8 inches, in excellent condition.
