French composer (1860-1956), a pupil of Jules Massenet, and author of the famous verismo opera Louise (1900), symphonies, and songs. Beautiful cabinet photograph signed and inscribed by him with a long sentiment and 1-bar autograph music quote; an original by an unidentified photographer in Paris (illegible). Size is 4.2 x 6.3 inches, mounting traces on verso, in very good condition.
