American pianist (1922-1953) described as one of the twentieth century's great geniuses of the keyboard, died in an air crash, at age 31, while returning from a concert tour in Australia. Beautiful black-and-white photograph mounted on a mat signed by him with a short sentiment, shown in performance. total size is 10.5 x 12.5 inches, photo is 7.3 x 9.25 inches, crease over the left border, otherwise in very good condition.
