Autograph letter in French (untranslated) signed by him, dated May 23, 1897, to a certain gentleman: “…ce n’est pas 500 frcs. que je vous ai déposé en garantie mais mille francs…”. Size is 5.6 x 8.5 inches, 1 written page, central fold, overall rust tone, Grand Hotel letterhead, in overall very good condition.
